Hi,
I was curious about the status of the Olena project and whether it is
still under active development. It is very impressive!

Olena is now available as Ubuntu packages for Ubuntu 12.x (x86 and amd64).
You need to add Olena's repository:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:olena/ppa
Then update your package list:
sudo apt-get update
And finally install Olena:
sudo apt-get install olena
'content_in_doc' binary is installed in /usr/lib/scribo/
We also invite you to try the other tools installed with these packages:
- scribo-cli: A command line interface exposing a set of tools
(including content_in_doc) for document images processing.
- scribo-viewer: A graphical user interface to perform document analysis
and reconstruct a document image in PDF or HTML.
Regards,
Guillaume
I am trying to get a plugin for Nuxeo that requieres the content_in_doc
binary from Olena/Scribbo , but I can get it.
Is there any tutorial to get this file? Some time ago I get this working in
an Oracle Linux enviroment, now I need this to be executed in an Ubuntu
server, but I am missing something
Any help?

Izaque,
We worked on the demo platform during this summer which may explain
these issue.
Today, if you try again with this image, it works.
Thanks for your report.

thank you for your interest in Scribo!
Regarding the use of our framework in other languages, currently, there
is no official support for binding towards C# or Pascal. However it is
probably possible to make some bindings using tools like Swig
(www.swig.org).
Our image processing library, Milena, already have some Python bindings
making c++ functions available in Python programs. These bindings are
available in Swilena (one of the top directory of the Olena package).
If you make working bindings for Scribo or Milena, please let us know,
that would be a great work to share.

Guillaume
